Welcome Home Miss Usa! Nia Sanchez is the first contestant from Nevada to be crowned Miss USA. One month after her crowning, she's back in her home state. "I’m honored to be from Nevada, representing at the USA pageant and to have won," said Nia Sanchez. I knew that Nevada had never won, so I was really, really trying hard for the state of Nevada and I feel so proud to represent Nevada, be Miss USA and put us on the map a little more."
Twenty-four-year-old Nia Sanchez took a tour of the capitol building in Carson City on Wednesday and had the honor of meeting Brian Sandoval, the governor of Nevada.
