For the first time in the history of the Miss Bahamas Organization, a double header event took place to choose the nation’s ambassadors to the Miss World and Miss Universe pageants. The double-header event – under the theme “Beauty Personified” – is an historic moment for the Miss Bahamas pageant. According to MBO President Michelle Malcolm, this new system has already injected much excitement in Bahamian pageant circles.
Rosetta Cartwright, 19, was crowned Miss World Bahamas 2014 at the Atlantis Grand Ballroom in Paradise Island. She will represent The Bahamas at Miss World 2014 this December. Miss World 2014, will be the 64th edition of the Miss World pageant held on December 14 at ExCeL in London, UK. Megan Young of the Philippines will crown her successor at the end of the event.
