Harkusha represented her country at the Miss Universe 2014 pageant where she became the second runner-up, making it the third time that Ukraine has ever made it to the Top 5 of the international pageant. In 2011 Olesya Stefanko finished as a first runner-up, the highest placement for Ukraine at Miss Universe.
