Miss Costa Rica 2015 Contestants

Miss Costa Rica 2015 will be held on August 8, 2015 at Marco Picado Study. A few weeks ago Miss Costa Rica organizers announced they would not be sending a representative to the Miss Universe 2015 contest in light of “xenophobic” comments made about Mexicans by the franchise’s owner, Donald Trump, despite a 40-year-long relationship with the pageant. At Miss Universe 2014 in Doral Miami, Karina Ramos, Miss Costa Rica 2014, was one of the favorite for a possible TOP 5, even the crown! And she surprised everybody when she failed to place.

According to Teletica, more than 30 women attended the casting call for Miss Costa Rica 2015, down from the more than 40 last year, aspiring for the title to take part in the Miss Universe pageant.

The ladies are required to complete with the rules of the contest, which this year it was emphasized that there should be no photos or videos that could compromise the image of the potential future representative of the Miss Universe crown, in which failure means automatic elimination from the competition.

All the contestants took part in a casting call held on May 8 at the Teletica’s Marco Picao studio in La Sabana.
