Doron Matalon, Miss Israel, posted the photo last week to Instagram. In the photo, she appears next to Miss Lebanon, Saly Greige, as well as Miss Slovenia and Miss Japan in Miami, where the pageant is held.

According to CTV News Lebanese broadcaster Al Jadeed reportedly criticized Greige, noting that she should have known that the two countries are enemies.
In a weekend Facebook post, she attempted to explain the photo, saying that since arriving in Florida she had been careful to avoid any contact with Matalon. She also accused Matalon of jumping into her photo uninvited, essentially photo-bombing her.
