Vanessa Tevi Kumares will crown her successor at the end of the event. She represented Malaysia at the 64th Miss Universe pageant in Las Vegas on December 20, 2015, but failed to place in the semi-finals. Malaysia has placed only once at the Miss Universe pageant courtesy of Josephine Lena Wong at Miss Universe 1970.
