Zendaya Coleman will judge Miss America 2016

It's official! Zendaya Coleman joins celebrity judges on 2016 Miss America Competition! The 89th Miss America pageant, will be held at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey on Sunday, September 13, 2015. It will be broadcast on ABC and streamed to mobile devices and Xbox 360 consoles via the WatchABC app. 52 women will compete for the crown, the winner will be Kira Kazantsev's successor.

Coleman will join Brett Eldredge, snowboarding bronze medalist Amy Purdy and Taya Kyle, author and wife of the late U.S. Navy Seal Chris Kyle. "It's great to be part of a show that celebrates women who are in college or graduated, and striving to make the world a better place through their chosen platform, ranging from domestic violence and bullying to cancer research and female empowerment, while also embracing beauty and fashion," Zendaya said in a statement.

"I remember watching Miss America as a kid, so it's an honor to help celebrate the 95th anniversary of the competition and to help select the next Miss America," she added.
