Miss USA 2017 : Meet the favorites for the crown!

Miss USA 2017 will be crowned on May 14, 2017 in Las Vegas. The winner will have the opportunity to represent the United States at Miss Universe 2017 later this year.


Accomplished women representing all 50 states and the District of Columbia will compete for a spot in the semifinalists. Semifinalists are not announced until the live telecast on Sunday, May 14 at 7/6c live on FOX.

Allee-Sutton Hethcoat is a 25-year-old law student, model and actress born and raised in Franklin, Tennessee. Hethcoat graduated from Belmont University as a member of Alpha Chi honor society, which limits membership to the top 10 percent of an institution’s junior, senior and graduate students.

Miss North Carolina Katie Coble

Katie Coble was born and raised in the beautiful city of Charlotte, North Carolina. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Business from the University of Alabama and has been a professional model since the age of 14. In her spare time, Coble enjoys cooking simple, yet tasty, 10-minute meals for her family and hopes to ‘taste’ her way around the world.

Miss California India Williams

India Williams is Junior at Loyola Marymount University studying Business Entrepreneurship with hopes of a career in Intellectual Property Rights. From Lafayette, California, this 20-year-old has been also studied Mandarin Chinese for nearly six years.

Nancy Gonzalez is an athletic, Texas native who loves the outdoors. Gonzalez prides herself on being able to cook her own meals, which helps her live a healthy lifestyle. Although she enjoys camping, fishing and surfing, Gonzalez is often found in her office sourcing, negotiating and purchasing oil and gas materials for her employer.

Miss Pennsylvania Cassandra Angst

Born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Cassandra Angst's modeling career has given her the opportunity to travel to 19 states and three countries within the last two years. When Cassandra isn't traveling, she is working towards obtaining a BSN degree in hopes to become a trauma nurse.

Miss Georgia DeAnna Johnson

DeAnna Johnson is a 21-year-old aspiring designer who loves art and music. She was a Top 10 finalist on the hit NBC show, "The Voice" and played basketball and volleyball throughout high school. She believes in living life fearlessly and is passionate about aiding in the fight against childhood sex trafficking.

Miss Louisiana Bethany Trahan

Bethany Trahan is a proud resident of Lake Charles, Louisiana. The 21-year-old is a senior at McNeese State University where she is studying Mass Communications with a concentration in Public Relations. Trahan comes from a loving and caring family who she believes shaped her into the person she is today.

Lauren York is a 23-year-old, full-time model who was born in San Diego, California. After graduating from high school in just three years, she began pursuing her passion in the fashion industry. York has lived in California, Nevada and Florida, and her career has taken her all over the country as a print and runway model.

Miss Rhode Island Kelsey Swanson

Kelsey Swanson was born in Cranston, Rhode Island and is studying psychology at the University of Rhode Island in hopes of becoming a child psychologist. Swanson is a world traveler; since age 18, she has visited over 20 countries and plans to continue traveling, hoping to visit many more amazing places. Swanson considers herself to be creative and enjoys art and cooking for her family and friends.

Being a brain tumor survivor, Kelsey Swanson hopes to advocate for brain tumor awareness if she were crowned the next Miss USA.

Did you know this ? The Miss USA pageant was owned by the current President of the United States of America, Donald Trump from 1996 to 2015, and was previously broadcast on NBC. In September 2015, WME/IMG purchased the pageant from Trump.
