What unique characteristics did you bring to the Miss Universe competition?

Open-mindedness and love to Miss Universe competition. I believe that the only way to achieve peace for our planet is through tolerance, respect, and kindness.

Social media seem to play a major role in pageantry nowadays. Do you think this is advantageous to you? Why or why not?

Yes, I believe that social media playing a major role in pageantry nowadays is advantageous to me, because there I get to express myself, allow my fans to get to know my personality and share some interesting facts about myself. Also, it allows me to give feedback to my supporters and truly engage and interact with them. I have many interesting thoughts to share with the world and social media allows me to do that.

How did you describe Ukraine to your fellow contestants?

Ukraine is a beautiful country, with breathtaking architecture as well as landscapes. But what is most important about my country is my people. We are distinguished for our hospitality and benevolence.

Some people think that beauty pageants like Miss Universe are degrading to women. Convince them that they are wrong.

Nowadays beauty pageants are much more than just about woman’s appearance. Miss Universe is a woman of the world. It is an influential woman, who makes a difference by helping make the world a better place and inspires people around the world. Miss Universe is a very serious profession that requires dedication and affection for the world and its people.

We’ve all seen the stereotypical portrayals of pageant contestants, a la Miss Congeniality, spreading peace, love and beauty throughout the world. How do you think you'll make a difference ?

I believe that spreading love and peace will never get old as we often face violence and unrest in the world. However, it is not just love that we need to achieve peace, but it is also a true understanding among each other, because I believe that it is impossible to truly tolerate a person without full understanding and so far I have spent my life trying to understand people, the reason for them having certain  perception of the world that is one of a kind.

With Rachel Peters, Miss Universe Philippines

What would you advise any young girl out there who has a dream of being a queen one day?

I would advice a young girl to find something unique about herself and make it her highlight, her brand. Every person is absolutely unique and has something that no one else has. Don’t try to be someone else, be something new.

Who is your ideal beauty queen and how has she helped you to evolve as a beauty queen?

My ideal beauty queen is Monica Bellucci. She is not scared to be explosifying. She showed me that it is crucial to love yourself, too to be able to express love. "
