I had the opportunity to interview Alannah a few days before the Miss Global/Intercontinental Australia Pageant. I appreciate her sharing her story. I hope you will enjoy this interview!
You will compete at the Miss Global/Intercontinental Pageant. How do you feel?
I am very excited, lucky and honored to be selected as a National finalist. I want to make the most of my opportunity and spread as much awareness for my charity platform as I can in a short amount of time. Becoming a National finalist is a win that I will take home with me and if the chance of becoming the next Miss Global Australia 2017 or Miss Intercontinental Australia 2017 that would-be life changing. I’m lucky to be able to have this experience so at the end of the day I’m going to enjoy every moment and cherish the time I am there.
What was your key motivation for entering the competition?
To complete something that I have been striving for which is to be a titleholder and be a role model for younger women and to be able to promote my platform on a world stage.
We are all unique so what would you say is something that makes you stand out from the other contestants?
I have been in the system a few times and I would say I am now my true self, no striving to be super thin or super human just deciding to be where I am comfortable and a true representation of an Australian women. This Is what I find makes me unique.
Which part of the pageant are you most looking for?
I am excited for the interview this year. If I was asked that question last time I probably would have said the complete opposite and probably would of be lying if I had said I was most looking forward to interview. I am normally terrified of interview however this year I’m ready to show the judges what I would want to do with the title and how I want to promote the pageant, my platform, why I am here and my reign. I want to show them how passionate I am about Compassion Australia. So, this year interview is what I am excited for. I don’t mean that I want to take out the award of Best in Interview, that would just be an icing on the cake. I only want to prove to myself that I have done better than last time in interview and showed the judges exactly what I needed to.
Name five things you can’t live without?
My Mum, lipstick, my dog Billie, money and friends.
Your favorite beauty queen?
Miss Global Australia 2015 Heidi Andrews. Heidi is living proof that persistence, effort and embody your inner self will lead to your dreams. Her hard work and determination throughout her reign has now lead her to the United States. She is a big motivator and inspiration to me in the sense of me being able to promote my platform for Compassion Australia and releasing children from poverty exactly how she prompted her company brand Heidi Anne active. Heidi showed that no matter what situation you are in you can make it.
Thanks to the beautiful Alannah for the interview. Pageants News wishes you all the very best for Miss Global/Intercontinental Australia pageant.
