Đặng Thị Lệ Hằng of Thái Bình has been appointed as Miss Universe Vietnam 2016. She will have the opportunity to compete at the prestigious Miss Universe Pageant later this year. Vietnam did not compete at Miss Universe in 2006-2007, 2010 and 2014.
Đặng Thị Lệ Hằng won Elite Model Look Vietnam in 2014 and was the second runner-up at Miss Universe Vietnam 2015.
