Jinnita Buddi is Miss Thailand World 2016

She will represent the Land of Smiles at the 2016 Miss World finals. Jinnita Buddi was crowned Miss World Thailand on May, 27 2016 at the Bangkok Convention Centre. She won a THB1 million cash prize along with a new house and brand-new Nissan.

Jinnita Buddi succeeds Thunchanok Moonnilta. Thunchanok Moonnilta represented Thailand at the Miss World 2015 pageant in China but she did not make the Top 20.

The highest placement of Thailand at the Miss World Pageant was in 1989, when Prathumrat Woramali was titled as the 3rd Runner-up. BEC-Tero Entertainment Pcl earned the rights to broadcast Miss Thailand World pageant in 1985. The first Miss Thailand World was Parnlekha Wanmuang who was crowned in the year 1985.
