Catharina Choi Nunes is the reigning Miss Mundo Brasil. She was proclaimed as the first runner up. However, the original winner was revealed to be married to a Belgian national. Catharina took over the place and became the new Miss World Brazil 2015. At Miss World 2015, she placed in Top 20 and won the Queen of America's title.

The country has so far only an international crown, obtained with Lúcia Tavares Petterle in 1971. She became the first woman from her country and the fourth South American woman to win the title. After her reign, she went on to finish her medical studies and became a doctor.
