Carolina Rodríguez is Miss Costa Rica 2016

Carolina Rodríguez of San José was crowned Miss Costa Rica 2016 on August 19th. She will have the opportunity to represent her country at the 2016 Miss Universe Pageant on January 30, 2017 in the Philippines.

Costa Rica has never won the Miss Universe Crown and they only placed four times at the international pageant.

Carolina was the first runner-up of Miss Costa Rica in 2014. She currently works as an english teacher.

The 10 finalists of Miss Costa Rica 2016 were Elena Correa, Andrea Castro, María Amalia Matamoros, Carolina Rodriguez, Maricris Rodriguez, Hellen Mena, Hellen Morales, Fabiola Calvo, Karen Robles and Alejandra González.
