Each contestant competed in three equal phases of preliminary competition: Interview, Swimsuit and Evening Gown. The judges were looking for the young lady to represent North Carolina throughout the state, as well as, nationally.

Second runner-up : Kaaviya Sambasivam - Forsyth County
Third runner-up : Juliana Morehouse - Fayetteville
Fourth runner-up : Emily Zemola - Guilford County
