Unjanee Wells is Miss Michigan Teen USA 2016

Unjanee Wells, Miss Heart of Michigan Teen USA, was crowned Miss Michigan Teen USA 2016 at the end of the beauty pageant held on September 26, 2015 at McMorran Auditorium. She succeeds Maria Elizabeth Rendina. Wells will compete at Miss Teen USA 2016. She began in the pageant world when she was a little girl, 5 years ago the beauty queen was crowned Jr. Miss Michigan Galaxy 2010.

At the same event was crowned Miss Michigan USA 2016 Susie Leica. Leica will represent Michigan at Miss USA 2016 the next summer.

In terms of number of placements, Michigan is one of the least successful states at Miss Teen USA, having only placed eight times. The states highest placement was in 2005, when Catherine Laurion was 1st runner-up to Allie LaForce of Ohio. Most recently, Courtney Pizzimenti placed 2nd runner-up in Miss Teen USA 2012.
