Cara graduated from Brown University with a major in Business, Entrepreneurship and Organizations. Her next goal is to graduate from law school
She was asked a hard-hitting question about President Trump decision to withdraw the U.S. from the climate accord aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions that contribute to global warming.
When asked whether or not she thought it was a good decision, she said, "It's a bad decision...There is evidence that climate change is existing and whether or not you believe in it, we need to be at that table."
She has been the lead organizer of a fashion show that raises money for the Make A Wish Foundation for the last 10 years and has raised over $78,000 to help fund wishes for 23 kids in North Dakota.
Cara is a national dance champion and has even trained with the Radio City Rockettes. Unsurprisingly, she performed a dance routine for the talent portion of Miss America — she self-choreographed her dance to “The Way You Make Me Feel!”
Mund began pageantry as a child, capturing the titles of Little Miss North Dakota, Miss Pre-Teen North Dakota, and Miss Junior Teen North Dakota. Mund later competed in Miss North Dakota's Outstanding Teen 2010 as Miss Red River Valley's Outstanding Teen. She went on to win the competition, and competed in Miss America's Outstanding Teen 2011.
Fun fact : She is related to Victoria Claflin Woodhull — the first woman to run for U.S. President, the first woman to operate a brokerage firm on Wall Street, and one of the first females to found a newspaper.
