Germaine will have the opportunity to compete at the 2016 Miss USA Pageant where she hopes to be crowned by the reigning Miss USA Olivia Jordan from Oklahoma. The winner of Miss USA 2016 will go on to represent the United States in the Miss Universe competition.
At the same event was crowned New Mexico's representative for Miss Teen USA 2016, Margeaux Greene.

New Mexico has had moderate success at Miss USA. They achieved many placements in the 60's to the 80's but has placed only three times in the past ten years. They have produced one Miss USA, Mai Shanley in 1984.
