2018 Miss Florida USA Candidate Nicole Renault Aims At Being The First International Gold Medalist Athlete In The Miss USA Pageant

Obviously the world of sports is completely different to the beauty pageant world but you have to be just as disciplined. A great deal of discipline is needed in order to be successful in both, you have to practice tirelessly, stay in great shape, and doing all of the other things that are necessary to be the best prepared for the competition. These values of discipline that are instilled help the competitors to succeed in other facets of their life.

The gorgeous Nicole Renault, who'll be competing for the crown of Miss Florida USA 2018, is an ambassador of the World Boxing Council. She began her local and international professional sport career at the age of six. She is the winner of 160 medals, six plates and 12 trophies in track and field. She is a Central American champion in triple jump and heptathlon where she has won eight gold medals in the Central American Games in Honduras, Guatemala, Nicaragua and El Salvador.

But she also won 6 beauty pageants, including Miss Teen World Costa Rica 2006, Miss Teenager Universe Costa Rica 2010, Miss Piel Dorada Internacional 2013, Miss WBC 2015, Miss Miami 2017 and Miss South Florida USA 2018.

If she wins the crown of Miss Florida USA Nicole will have the opportunity to represent her state in Miss USA 2018. While Florida has had runners-up, finalists, and semi-finalists, the state has never won the Miss USA pageant, although Cheryl Patton became Miss USA after Sylvia Hitchcock won Miss Universe. The most recent finalist was Brittany Oldehoff who placed 4th runner-up in 2014.

Here we bring you the untold facts about Nicole’s life and also her ideas, objectives and opinions… Have a look!

You will compete at the Miss Florida USA Pageant, how will you prepare the contest? What unique characteristics would you say you bring to the competition?

I have been preparing for more than 16 years, I have traveled many countries like Colombia to improve myself in pageants because it is my dream since I was a little girl and to make it those dreams happen you have to work really hard so I trained my body, I finish my studies and I start modeling very young. My discipline, effort, knowledge and charisma, I am competitive and I give my very best to achieve my goals.

What inspired you to walk on the course of beauty pageants?

The discipline, the confidence and the effort to be in a competition and also all the good causes you can do to inspire and help many people around the world.

What do you expect to gain by competing in pageantry?

Make my dreams come true, my goal is to be able to help and inspire many people and beauty pageants are an amazing a platform to help our society.

Many misses have said that their dream since a child was to participate in a pageant as prestigious as Miss World (or Miss Universe). It this your case ? And if so, why ?

Absolutely, This is my dream that I have prepared all my life, I work very hard to make it happen because I want to help and empower many people, I want to inspire young people not to abandon their dreams and Miss Florida USA would be a good platform to help those in need and to make my dream come true

Social media seem to play a major role in pageantry nowadays. Do you think this is advantageous to you? Why or why not?

It's not an advantage, because for me preparation, passion and a good attitude is what gives you an advantage, but it is nice to see the support you receive through social media and it also works as an excellent platform to inspire many people. I was very young when I started competing in pageants and sport competitions and I didn’t have social networks and I still managed to win.

We’ve all seen the stereotypical portrayals of pageant contestants, a la Miss Congeniality, spreading peace, love and beauty throughout the world. How do you think you'll make a difference ?

Be myself, work hard to help those who are in need and empower women, I will let my actions speak louder than my words.

What would you advise any young girl out there who has a dream of being a queen one day?

Get prepared, be confident, be yourself and never give up because they are important tools to achieve your dreams.

Thanks to the beautiful Nicole for the interview. Pageants News wishes you all the very best for Miss Florida USA pageant.
