You won the title of Miss Teen Great Britain. What does it entail?

The title of Miss Teen Great Britain enables me to represent girls aged 16-19 years old from England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Even though there is no international final, throughout my reign I have (and will continue to) been travelling across the UK to events, varying from the world's longest zip wire to a VIP charity conference in London for the UK Sepsis Trust

What was the first thing that went through your mind when you won the crown?

The moment my name was called, I completely froze. I was in utter shock! Even though I had worked extremely hard as a finalist, so had all the over 65 contestants. I was proud to get to the grand final, let alone win the crown! Then came the tears. But luckily Emma, the reigning Miss Teen Great Britain at the time, had a packet of tissue to hand! Once the tears stopped, I was overwhelmed with joy. I remember waking up the next morning thinking it was all a dream.

Many misses have said that their dream since a child was to participate in a pageant as prestigious as Miss World (or Miss Universe). Is it your case?

I absolutely love pageants and I'm so incredibly grateful I have the title I do now as in my opinion, Miss Teen Great Britain is the most prestigious title to girls of my age within the UK. But who knows what the future holds!

A lot of people stereotype beauty pageants by former incidents, what would you do to prove them wrong?

I believe I've already proved them wrong. During my time as a finalist of Miss Teen Great Britain, I unfortunately lost my dad to sepsis (septicaemia) and since then, I've been campaigning endlessly to raise awareness of the devastating condition - to the point where I'm now recognised within the UK Sepsis Trust charity as an ambassador. 4 weeks after losing my dad, I sat my a-level exams and came out with an A* and two B's, which secured me a place to study Law at Lancaster University, one of the top 10 universities in the country.

Who is your favorite beauty queen and why?

I don't have a favourite beauty queen, I have lots. For example, I love the reigning Mrs Galaxy (Sarah Pritchard) as she entered Mrs Galaxy UK to prove to everyone that no matter what shape/size you are, you should be confident and believe in yourself. To Sarah's disbelief, she not only went on to win Mrs Galaxy UK, but she then won the overall title of Mrs Galaxy at the International final in Florida. This was Sarah's first pageant. I also love the reigning Ms Galaxy (Rubia Bari) as she went through a really traumatic childhood, but rather than letting it defeat her, she came out the other end and has turned into one of the most strongest women I have ever met. Both of these women inspire me and I am honoured to have had the pleasure of meeting both of them.

How do you imagine your life in ten years?

In ten years time I'll be nearly 30, so I'd love to be really successful and have a happy and healthy family. After I leave university, I want to join the police force so I'd love to have my commitment recognised and had been promoted.
