You won the title of Teen Miss Florida Earth US. What was the first thing that went through your mind when you won the crown ?
The first thing that went through my mind was what an honor it was that I was now part of a prestigious global pageant system and that all of my hard work did pay off! I am still on cloud nine and feel excited to be heading to Nationals in Washington DC this summer!
What does it feel like to be a beauty queen and wear a crown?
I feel like I have a very important role to inspire people to just be themselves and to be that voice in the community to make a difference. One person CAN make a change and together, we can be the change in the world.
Did you face any moment of disappointment with yourself during the pageant journey, and how did you overcome it?
I believe all girls face a little disappointment whenever they don’t take home the crown, it’s normal. The disappointment that I have personally faced has always made me work harder and be even more determined. I believe that in life when you don’t succeed, try again.
What qualities of a queen do you believe you have always had in you?
The qualities I have are Determination and Optimism. I am always determined to perform the best that I can and to be the best titleholder that I can be. I also am very optimistic because I look at the bright side of things. I believe that no matter if I walk away with a crown or not, I am a winner. I win great experiences, I win friendships from around the globe and I win memories that will last my lifetime!
What inspired you to walk on the course of beauty pageants?
When I was younger I was very dedicated to sports. One day I found out that I would never run or play sports again. It was devastating and that event changed me forever. It caused me to be open up to other things. That’s when my music teacher introduced me to pageants, and from there I fell in love!
Many misses have said that their dream since a child was to participate in a pageant as prestigious as Miss Universe or Miss World. Is it your case ?
I wasn’t always involved in pageantry but it would be an honor to be on the stage at Miss Universe or Miss World. Only God knows what is in store for me, but a girl can always dream!
Who is your favorite beauty queen and why?
Olivia Jordan, Miss USA 2015, is my favorite because she is like a “real life” Barbie Doll. I have supported and have been in contact with Olivia even before she won Miss OK and went onto win Miss USA. This past summer I had the opportunity to work with Olivia several times and she is a very genuine person. Her beauty is not only on the outside but the inside too.
