She will represent the Rio Grande Valle at the Miss Texas USA Pageant in one week. The amazing Chelsea Desireé Peňa has some advice for aspiring beauty queens. She challenges everyone to set goals, work hard, have faith and achieve them. Even if you are a pageant veteran or a first-timer in beauty contests, you can stand out as long as you believe in yourself. Chelsea will be on the Miss Texas USA stage for the third time this year "I remember telling my mother what an honor it would be to even be a contestant.I never thought I would be one of the many competing for a State title, but dreams do come true & opportunity chases you when you least expect it. I was raised on a single parent income where making the best out of any circumstance was the only way to get by." she explained
Chelsea graduated last year from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley with a Bachelor’s degree in Rehabilitative Services. She recently began working as a non-custodial parent counselor and she deals with court mandated cases in which the non-custodial parent is either unemployed, underemployed and behind on their child support payments. Her goal as their counselor is to help them obtain self-sufficient wages.
Chelsea's mother enrolled her in dance classes at the age of five. She continued dancing all through High School and the majority of her years while she was attending the university.
I had the opportunity to recently interview her. Chelsea's dedication and hard work towards her goals will surely take her long on the road of victory!
