Colorado has only placed five times in the Miss Teen USA pageant's history. Three of those placements all came in the 1990s. The fourth placement, in 2007, was Colorado's only win, as well as its only top five placement. They have also won a style award, in 1999.

At the same event was crowned Colorado's representative for the 2016 Miss USA Pageant, Caley-Rae Pavillard.
"I'm so excited that I was crowned at the Miss Colorado/Miss Colorado Teen USA pageant with Caley-Rae Pavillard and I'm looking forward to our journey together!!" said Alexis.
