Justine Ker is Miss Louisiana 2016

Justine Ker was crowned Miss Louisiana 2016 at the Monroe Civic Center Theater on June 25th. She will have the opportunity to represent her state at Miss America 2017 later this year. The 2017 Miss America Pageant will be held at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey, on Sunday, September 11, 2016.

Who is Justine Ker ?

- She was Miss Louisiana's Outstanding Teen in 2011.
She has been awarded over $100,000 in scholarships.
She believes her participation in the pageant system is helping to shape her. “I’m learning to be a role model for others, I’m learning to speak to audiences and how to communicate with people in everyday life. I’m creating so many memories by being in the program, and I’m meeting so many new friends. It’s been one of the greatest experiences of my life,” she said.
She is the daughter of Jenevieve and Jun-Ing Ker of Choudrant, LA.
She is majoring in neuroscience with a minor in psychology.
In the past, she has volunteered her time to the Northern Louisiana Medical Center, Special Olympics.
She is a former 1st violinist in the Monroe Youth Symphony Orchestra.
