With a passion for justice, Sophia Dominguez-Heithoff will pursue a degree in Political Science and Ethics, and aspires to attend Law School. A resident of Kansas City, Missouri, she is proud to graduate from High School a year early in the Spring of 2017, and to start her undergraduate studies in the Fall of 2017. On top of her intense studies, she loves to dance Ballet, run long distances, and travel the world. She is passionate about her community, and enjoys working closely with the Developmentally Disabled.
Sophia was born into a military family. She told the Mexico Ledger in 2016 that her mother served in the Air Force.
“I’ve been watching the Miss America pageant live on TV for as long as I can remember, but I’ve never competed in pageants and nobody in my family did either,” Sophia said in 2016.
In her spare time, Sophia loves to continue her activity in the community by being involved with Girl Scouts. She has achieved her Bronze, Silver, and Gold Award. She fuels her passion for women empowerment by being a part of the Girl’s Leadership Program with the Women’s Foundation of Kansas City. Sophia has been modeling since the age of 10 and is signed with major agencies in Los Angeles and Chicago, she is fortunate to have an income that will pay for her own college.
