Meet Bayleigh Dayton the first ever African American Miss Missouri USA

Bayleigh Dayton became the first African American to win the title of Miss Missouri USA! “There are no words to explain how blessed I feel. First and foremost, God is SO good. He truly gave me the desires of my heart…. I made history and became the 1st ever African American title holder in the state of Missouri!”

The Lee’s Summit native (a suburb of Kansas City) is a graduate of Baylor University (class of 2014) with a degree in business administration. She works not only as a flight attendant, but a model, and has done campaigns for Sprint and Hallmark, according to Black Girl Long Hair.

Miss USA 2017 : Meet the candidates here


Bayleigh Dayton will have the opportunity to represent the state of Missouri at the 2017 Miss USA Pageant. Missouri has had only one Miss USA, Shandi Finnessey, who placed as 1st runner-up to Jennifer Hawkins of Australia in the Miss Universe 2004 pageant.
