Arkansas has not been greatly successful at Miss USA. They have won the Miss USA Pageant in 1982 with Terri Utley. Utley was the first – and to date only – woman from Arkansas to win the Miss USA title, and went on to place as fourth runner-up at Miss Universe 1982.
Abby is currently working as a model at the block agency. She made the TOP 16 at the 2013 Miss Teen USA Pageant on August 10, 2013 at Atlantis Paradise Island, Nassau, Bahamas.
She resides in Searcy on her family farm. After 5 years of early morning horse training sessions, she was finally able to capture the American Quarter Horse Association Youth World Championship in 2012.
