Can you introduce yourself?
Hello, my name is Charlotte Louise White I am 25 years old from a small town outside of London called Rickmansworth. I work full time as a recruitment consultant in the Construction Industry where I specialise in the Decent Homes and Refurbishment Sector.
I live at home with my Mum, Bar Bar and our cheeky Bassett Hound Nelson. (When I was little I couldn’t pronounce Grandma so Bar Bar has stuck.) My mother and I look after Bar Bar as she has Glaucoma which has led to her losing her sight and also has a colostomy bag, so we have three generations living under one roof. I am very close with my family especially my Mum, she is my best friend and we have been through a lot together, we often get called sisters because we look so alike. I first met my Dad when I was 12 years old and he has been teaching me the rules of football ever since and I am proud to say I support Tottenham Hotspur. I am very much in love in a long term relationship with my boyfriend Lewis, he is so supportive with my goals in life and we are the opposite versions of each other, except is doesn’t take part in pageants he fly’s drones.
What was your key motivation for entering the Miss Universe Great Britain competition?
Miss Universe is a great platform to become a role model to women & children out there and to show that you are confident in your own skin. I actually entered the competition last year and gained a lot of experience and lifelong friends who I have stayed in touch with today. If I was lucky enough to win the title of Miss Universe Great Britain 2017 I would like to use the title to go to schools to speak to children about Domestic Violence as this something very close to my heart due to personal reasons. Domestic Violence is a taboo subject and I strongly believe that children need to know the difference between physical, sexual and mental abuse. I feel the title of Miss Universe GB would give me that platform and allow me to connect with the younger generation and potentially help someone who is too scared to speak up.
We are all unique so what would you say is something that makes you stand out from the other contestants?
Well apart from being 6ft tall *hehe* There are so many talented young women taking part in the final and we are all different in our own ways, I would have to say my edge that makes me stand out from the other contestants would be my adrenaline adventure side of me. If I am not jumping out of a plane I am climbing a mountain or sparring with my good friend Ryan Maycock who is a professional boxer. I love to keep active and have always had a passion for boxing; I picked it up again last year. It is one of the hardest sports to, I do enjoy the exhaustion of the sport but also love the mental concentration that is required in boxing.
Name five things you can’t live without?
The 5 things I can’t live without is:
My Family – I am a massive family girl they are my world and would do anything for them
Nelson – I am a huge animal lover and my Bassett Hound is my baby – I talk to him as if he is human
Popcorn – I love popcorn, addicted to coconut and vanilla
Tigers Eye Stone – I love Crystals. The Tigers eye stone is a solar stone of courage, strength and personal power it also keeps you safe when travelling.
Pyjama socks – I am so cold even in the summer you will find me in chilling in my pink fluffy socks
How do you practice confidence?
I believe you get your confidence from knowledge, the more you know about a subject/topic the more you can speak confidently about it. From a pageant point of view I would say you must be positive and know yourself inside out and to be true to yourself.
Thanks to the beautiful Charlotte for the interview. Pageants News wishes you all the very best for Miss Universe Great Britain 2017 pageant.
