Marthina Brandt is Miss Universe Brazil 2015

Marthina Brandt, Miss Rio Grande do Sul, was crowned Miss Brazil 2015, she will represent her country at Miss Universe 2015 on December 20th. The three-hour annual event will air live from Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas. Miss Universe 2014, Paulina Vega of Colombia will crown her successor at the end of the event. This will be the first edition of the Miss Universe pageant under the new owners, WME/IMG, and will be the first aired by Fox. The 2015 Miss Universe Pageant will be an exciting competion among the blondes.

She succeeds Miss Brazil 2014 Melissa Gurgel. Melissa competed at the Miss Universe 2014 pageant in Doral Miami and was among the Top 15 finalists.

Previously Marthina competed at Miss Rio Grande do Sul 2012, the year that Gabriela Markus (Miss Brazil 2012) won. She also participated in 2010, where she was the first runner up, the same year Priscila Machado was 4th runner up before winning in 2011 and being crowned Miss Brazil.
