Nicaragua is pulling out of the Miss Universe Competition

Breaking News! Nicaragua is becoming the fourth country, after Mexico Costa Rica and Panama, to pull out of the Miss Universe competition. Donald Trump, owner of the Miss Universe Organization, admits that racially charged comments he made while announcing a run for the White House have hurt his business interests.  And he swears he doesn't care.

Karen Celebertti, national director of the Miss Nicaragua Organization announced via Twitter today that she refuses to send Daniella Torres, who has already been chosen to represent Nicaragua at Miss Universe 2015, to the beauty pageant since she believes that the Miss Universe Organization refuses to recognize all humans in an equal manner.

Karen states that she believes Miss Universe 2014 Paulina Vega is being mistreated by the organization and she does not think that Daniela Torres will be respected as an equal amongst the other expected contestants. On occasion, when the winner does not qualify (due to age) a runner-up is sent. In 1979 and 1996 Nicaragua did not compete at the pageant. In 2013 Nastassja Bolívar was dethroned after competing at the Miss Universe 2013 in Moscow, Russia.
