Mireia is currently a 5th year pharmacy student in Copenhagen, Denmark. The 2015 Miss World Barcelona Contest was not her first pageant, previously she won Miss Atlantico International 2014 in Punta del Este, Uruguay.
Spain has never won the Miss World Pageant but they have one Miss Universe (1974 - Amparo Munoz) and 3 Miss International (1977 - Pilar Medina, 1990 - Silvia de Esteban Niubo and 2008 - Alejandra Andreu.)
