What inspired you to walk on the course of beauty pageants?
I have always loved all things beauty and fashion. In 2015 when I competed in my first pageant ever it all happened by destiny I’d like to think. One morning I woke up with a pamphlet in the mail asking if I was interested and from there the rest was history and I never turned back.My mom and I have been watching Miss USA since I was a little girl and it has always inspired me to one day be able to impact a little girls life just how I was.

Tell me something about yourself and your work. What do you actually do, and have done in the past?
I am small town girl born and raised in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. I have always aspired to reach my dreams no matter how out of reach they may seem. After high school, I went off to pursue a major in Communications with a minor in Entrepreneurship. It has always been a passion of mine to help individuals live a beautifully balanced life. Recently just launching my lifestyle blog called Living Beautifully Balanced, not only gives me a place to share my thoughts and inspirations but a chance to inspire my viewers to go out and live the best life they possibly can.
I have always believed that having balance in all aspects of your life can lead to success; my platform is to help others feel confident in their own skin and inspire them to pursue whatever dreams they have no matter how big. Being a public relations manager for our Love Your Melon Club on campus gives me the ability to share my platform with children who are fighting pediatric cancer. Being so passionate and involved with this organization I am able to spread awareness, raise money to help support pediatric cancer research, and shine some brightness on a child’s day. Nothing is better than that. In the past few months, I have become a certified Barre Instructor, in hopes of one day opening up my own studio and athletic wear line. For those of you who don’t know what barre exactly is. It is a combination of pilates, ballet, and yoga that practices small, isolated movements; exhaust the muscles and then stretch them back out to create long lean muscles. The small class sizes and empowerment that fills the room is something that I want to create one day in my own studio.

What do you expect to gain by competing in pageantry?
Everyone’s pageant journey and goals are different. Win or lose it is a challenge to not only better my self but my life. I love taking away new memories, skills, and inspiration each year and come back stronger. Once you compete in the Miss USA/Universe system it's almost impossible not to continue your journey because of how amazing it really is. I met my very best friend through pageantry and I have met so many amazing women who share the same passion to make change and empower one another. Competing gives me strengths in all areas of myself which is something every woman should experience. Pageantry lets me be one hundred percent, unapologetically myself and embrace who I am and what I am passionate about. For that, I am so blessed to be apart of this organization no matter where it takes me, win or lose; I am enjoying the journey and counting my blessings.
What would you advise any young girl out there who has a dream of being a queen one day?
Dream big baby girl. You are worthy and you are beautiful. You have the world in your hands and it's up to you to be whoever you want to be. All it takes is one-second to start on the path to reach your dreams/goals. Be unapologetically you and never for a second doubt yourself.
