Healthy teeth is Katherine Rogers's advocacy as Miss Tennessee USA Candidate

The gorgeous Katherine Rogers, who'll be competing in the 2018 Miss Tennessee USA Pageant hopes to advocate for dental and oral hygiene if she wins. She is furthering her education by becoming a dental assistant in the hopes of going to dental school one day and opening her own dental spa business. A good smile can mean so much as it is often the first thing people notice, and it displays confidence and sincerity." she explained.

Katherine is a recent graduate from Sewanee: The University of the South with a bachelor of science degree in Environmental Science: ecology and biodiversity and a minor in education. In her free time she loves to cook, travel, model, volunteer with her church, and spend time with her family and puppy.

You will compete at the 2018 Miss Tennessee USA Pageant. How will you prepare the contest ?

I am preparing by getting my wardrobe together, attending mock interviews, and getting involved in my community through various volunteer opportunities. I hope to show my community, my town, and my city that I am exactly the kind of person they want representing them at Miss USA as I am a leader and role model through my many life experiences, I am easily approachable, and very ambitious. I hope to go into the competition just being myself and displaying my easy-going and hard working personality.

Did you know this ? Since 2001, the Miss Tennessee USA pageant has been held in the auditorium at Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, Tennessee.

Lynnette Cole, Miss Tennessee USA 2000, and Rachel Smith, Miss Tennessee USA 2007, are the only titleholders to win the Miss USA title. Five Miss Tennessee USA titleholders have formerly competed at Miss Tennessee Teen USA, and six have competed at Miss America.

Did you face any moment of disappointment with yourself during the pageant journey, and how did you overcome it?

Miss Tennessee USA 2018 will only be my fourth pageant, so I am very proud of all that I have accomplished while not being in this industry very long. I am still learning and growing. I certainly now value the importance of having a coach. I feel that as long as I give it my all and be myself, no matter the outcome, I'm very happy with myself and my pageant journey.

It has always been my dream to compete in pageants, so I am extremely honored to have been chosen to compete in this Miss Tennessee USA competition. I have always looked up to these woman with such grace and confidence and I hope that other girls may look at me the same way. I hope to show other women the importance of going for your dreams and to never give up.

I think Ariadna Gutiérrez is one of the most beautiful woman inside and out. She handled the Miss Universe 2015 crowning mishap with such poise and dignity, which I certainly commend.
