Julia Morley, Chairwoman of Miss World Organisation, is in Mumbai to be recognized for her extensive humanitarian work at the 30th Global Awards ceremony. Having introduced ‘Beauty With A Purpose’ to raise funds for disadvantaged children, Morley said, “I am honoured to accept this award on behalf of all the young men and women across 140 countries, who make themselves useful in their own country, recognising that there are so many people who don’t have the opportunities that they do.” (Time Of India)
At the same event Former Miss World and Bollywood Star Priyanka Chopra was honoured with the Smita Patil Memorial Award for Best Actor. Chopra said “I feel privileged to receive that award and feel humbled by the presence of all the dignitaries on that dais. They have achieved that balance within being successful and giving back to the society. And that is something that I have always sought to attain myself.”
Megan Young and Koyal Rana (fbb Femina Miss India World 2014), who is set to represent India at the Miss World pageant in London this December, were among the dignitaries present on the dais.
