Olivia Jordan at Miss World 2013
Olivia represented the United States at the Miss World Pageant in 2013 in Bali, Indonesia. There was no separate “Miss World United States” pageant held–there hasn’t been one in a long time. That’s why she was appointed to be their representative. It can be remembered that Olivia was a top 20 semi-finalist. However, since Alexandra Mill’s victory in 2010, USA has not quite shown much interest at Miss World.
By the way, Olivia has gained a strong experience with this pageant. Will she be the first american in decades to represent the US at Miss World and Miss Universe ?
Will Olivia Jordan be crowned Miss USA 2015 in Baton Rouge ?
Olivia will have a few months to prepare for Miss USA 2015, where she hopes to be crowned by the reigning Miss USA from Nevada, Nia Sanchez. The winner will represent the USA at Miss Universe 2015.
“I am so blessed to be in this amazing group of women!” said Olivia. She has met several contestants like Miss Texas Ylianna Guerra, Miss California Natasha Martinez, Miss Arkansas Leah Blefko in Los Angeles… They don’t talk about a competition but about an amazing experience. It feels like they’re more friends than rivals. They are all so excited to share a month in Baton Rouge together.
Oklahoma at the Miss USA Pageant
Oklahoma has never won the Miss USA Pageant but they came close in 2010 and 1989, when Jill Scheffert and Morgan Woolard placed first runner-up to Gretchen Polhemus and Rima Fakih, respectively. In 2014, Brooklynne Young made the TOP 20 at Miss USA 2014 in Baton Rouge. Young dominated the swimwear and evening gown competition. Her talent was spray tanning.
