India is back in the game! Noyonita Lodh, from Bangalore, was crowned Miss Diva Universe 2014. This year the Miss India pageant was held as a docu-series which will have nine episodes in total.
“I walked into this pageant never to imagine in my wildest dreams that i will be a part of such a memorable and perfect journey. There is nothing in the world that i can compare this beautiful journey to and the pride i have given my family.
I would like to thank the entire Miss diva team for working so earnestly and grooming me in every aspect. Miss diva is truly a dream team !”
Noyonita Lodh is India’s representative to the 63rd Miss Universe Pageant. The Miss Universe Pageant will take place at Florida International University on NBC, Sunday, January 25, 2015 (8-11 p.m. ET).
Miss India has been participating in the Miss Universe pageant since 1952, starting with Indrani Rehman and in the Miss World pageant since 1959, starting with Fleur Ezekiel. Historically, the Femina Miss India pageant sent the winner of the pageant to the Miss Universe pageant. They won 2 crowns of Miss Universe with Sushmita Sen in 1994 and Lara Dutta in 2000.
Did you know this ? The new Miss India was always fascinated by the Miss Venezuela national pageant. For her “the grandeur, prestige and glamour of the pageant is out of the world and beyond words.”
