Diamonds International Corporation (DIC) will design the new Miss Universe crown for the next 10 years.
Lubos Riha, President of DIC met Donald Trump, the owner of Miss Universe Organization in Baton Rouge, Louisiana during the Miss USA 2014 pageant. In an agreement signed by both Riha and Trump, DIC will design the crowns for Miss Universe, Miss USA and Miss Teen USA for the next 10 years starting 2014.

Stefania Fernandez, Miss Universe 2009 was the first girl to wear this crown by Diamond Nexus. The theme of the crown is Peace, and was selected by public voting amongst two other designs, Hope and Unity. The lab-created rubies represents Miss Universe’s commitment to HIV/AIDS awareness and education. 2002-2007 Miss Universe’s Crown. This crown was designed by Mikimoto. The crown has 500 diamonds of almost 30 carats (6.0 g), 120 South Sea and Akoya pearls, ranging in size from 3 to 18 mm diameter and is valued at $250,000.
The most famous crown of the Miss Universe Beauty Pageant was the “MISS” crown. Maria Vargas, Miss Universe 1963 of Brazil who had the honor of being the first Miss Universe to wear this crown. Miss Universe 2001 from Puerto Rico Denise Quinones of Puerto Rico was the last winner who received this crown.
