Miss Universe 2012 Olivia Culpo’s Beauty Tips

According to the Examiner, Olivia Culpo, Miss Universe 2012, was once a chubby kid who grew into a willowy 5-foot-5 beauty queen, thanks to rigorous exercise and her No. 1 diet secret: a low-carb diet.

“I stick to a low-carb, high-protein diet,” Culpo, 21, told People. “Shocker, I know. Everyone does that in my world. That’s a lot of lean protein.”

Olivia Culpo, whose diet is also low-calorie (especially around competition time), tries to eat small meals throughout the day to keep her metabolism and blood sugar steady.

“It’s important to keep your metabolism up, so I eat breakfast, then I’ll have a snack of almonds or something,” says Culpo. “Then [I eat] a lunch of high-protein, low-carb [food], then another snack of fruit. And then dinner [such as chicken and vegetables].”

Culpo’s workouts consist of weight-lifting, running, and Zumba dance classes. Her favorite sweet snacks are Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, and her favorite savory treat is soup.

Jonas watched Ingrosso’s set with Culpo and friends from a VIP table on the Main Stage. Dressed and ready for a day of fun in the sun, Nick sported a white tank, black shorts and boating shoes, while girlfriend Olivia stunned in a bikini and orange cover up.
